- I am a graduate of the University of Va., Wise,Va. and Indiana Univ., Kokomo,In. I have three wonderful grandchildren. I love sports and watching people. I want to do more public speaking and continue to tell stories about veterans--they are the real history of our country. I tell personal history, not the sort of stuff that ever makes a text book. I want to speak for those who cannot and share with their families and the country which often does not understand them or their sacrifice. I am a Vietnam Veteran,serving with D Co.,3rd/7th Infantry, 199th Light Infantry Bde., 3/68-3/69.
I was just reading your poem, "POW/MIA" again a few minutes ago. It still hits me as hard now as it did the first time I read it. Powerful stuff, Mike.
